EmRSVP3 Specs

There are two types of trials:

Neutral: 5 neutral pictures are displayed.

Emotional: 4 neutral pictures and 1 emotional picture are displayed.

There are 10 trials:

5 Neutral trials

5 Emotional trials

Between each trial there is a 15 second pause.

The pictures are chosen without replacement from a pool of 50 neutral pictures and 10 emotional pictures.

There are two subject conditions:

Instructions:

“In every trial, you will be shown a series of pictures. Each picture will appear on the screen for a short period of time. Please look in the center of the screen for the entire time that the pictures are being shown. If you have any questions please ask the experimenter now, otherwise, please proceed.”
